3 Elements of Content Marketing

I get lots of questions about how to build a coaching business. This is one that has popped up lately and I thought you’d appreciate knowing some of the things you can do to jump-start your content marketing strategy.

How do I get started with content marketing?

You can start content marketing in 3 easy steps:

1. Brainstorm ideas – this can come from several sources.

  • Questions you see asked in FB groups

  • Conversations you have had with clients

  • FAQs from your website

2. Create content – this can be completed in a variety of ways.

  • Answer a question in a FB group

  • Write a blog or newsletter

  • Do a FB Live or post a video to YouTube

3. Distribute your content – the possibilities are nearly endless

  • Post on social media sites: FB profile page, FB biz page, FB group, LI profile page, LI biz page, YouTube, Blog, Podcast, Medium.com, Twitter, Instagram, FB Live, Live Steaming on LI, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.

  • Email – send out a newsletter, direct your email list to an article or blog, invite them to listen to a podcast episode you were on, redirect them to an older post that did well, invite them to an event you’re hosting, etc.

Before you can get paid monetarily, you need to get paid via engagement, this can be measured through likes, shares, and attendance at your events. Showing up consistently, adding value, and solving pain points all add to the know, like, and trust factor in marketing.

Knowing your avatar will help you build an organic audience more quickly.
